TWO FACTORS IN CRUZ'S LOSS -- MANN QUOTES

Two Mann tenets, the essence of which hurt Senator Cruz:

1. "If a person, a candidate cannot present himself or herself correctly and believably I believe he or she cannot represent me and others correctly.  Words and their usage, as well as the way they are presented, are extremely important to a presenter."(Mann)

2. "There is no equation of intellect with wisdom and judgement. Without the latter two, intellect may be of limited value" (Mann).

Senator Cruz arguably epitomizes each of these and often displayed them in his presentations. His philosophy was/is acceptable but his presentations were grating to viewers and listeners, too strident and abrasive. It cost him, in large part, the nomination.
