CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION IS WRONG

A constitutional convention is a fool's errand.

I've been approached by a few people in the last 1-2 years to endorse a constitutional convention for such amendments as a 28th to mandate term limits and to curtail the abuse of the constitution by radical Progressives, especially President Obama and his administration. My immediate first thought was "it's a fool's errand." After much thought, I'm still of the same opinion.

How would a constitutional convention be controlled? And, by whom? Radical Progressives, who now control elections to major offices, starting with the Presidency, would surely dominate. A major goal of Wilsonian Progressives was to reform the constitution for "social change and to establish administrative bureaucracies." The new Progressives are even more radical. The current administration is radically Progressive and already has little hesitancy to violate the constitution, virtually at will. Who can doubt that they would reform a new constitution to fit their agenda.....or repeal it totally. It's not so unreasonable to think the latter. A constitution of their making would remove all inhibiting factors to reforming America to there wishes. Judging from the actions of the Obama administration, this would include bringing America more into parity with lesser nations.

The solution to this problem lies in the uniting of all people, who oppose such radical changes in America, to reject the radical Progressives and elect people to high office who want to preserve America as the nation we have long known and loved. The America that has held preeminence in the world.

We only have to look at recent reports of the line-up of nations according to their "economic freedom." America, traditionally #1, is now #12. First place is held by Hong Kong. Wake up Americans.

CUOMO -- CONSERVATIVES NOT WELCOME IN NEW YORK

This post by Dr. Robert Warren, whom readers know from previous insightful posts, addresses an issue that must not be ignored or downplayed. When a head of state, in this case Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York, declares that much of the states population (conservatives) is not welcome in the state, he must be held accountable. How? The citizens of New York should take means to remove him from office immediately. Of course, that's not likely to happen. Unfortunately, this is but one more "sign of our times" as the far-left Progressives, who have taken over the Democratic Party, dominate and transform America as Barack Obama promised he'd do. He has much help from people like Cuomo. Wake up, Americans. We no longer have a traditional Democratic Party. Radical Progressives have been gnawing away at traditional America since the 1960s and now have control.

THE RISE OF TYRANNY IN AMERICA
By Dr. Robert Warren, PhD

The constant attacks by progressives on the American Constitution are unrelenting. Regardless of who you are, unless you are in lock step with the current fads of the progressive movement, you are a second-class citizen. Below are the words of the current Governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo:

Who are they? Are they these extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay? Is that who they are? Because if that’s who they are and if they are the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are.

There could be no clearer statement of progressive tyranny. It reminds me of Hitler and his demeaning of the German Jewish population prior to their internment and genocidal slaughter. One wonders when Cuomo will get out the NAZI playbook and start requiring conservatives to wear special insignia on their clothing to identify themselves. Looking FORWARD, his next step would be to control their behavior and seize their property, particularly their means of self-defense. Would jail be out of the question? Or forced relocation outside the state? Those who think that this is silly might actually want to look at some current US news.

Now let’s look at those Americans whom Cuomo is attacking. First, people who believe in the sanctity of life are somehow to be condemned. Apparently, the Catholic Church, among others, is unwelcome. Second, people who believe in the right of self-defense are considered extreme even though police forces around the country are experiencing major budget cuts. Third, people who believe in the sanctity of marriage and see danger to the family and the culture are deemed to have some type of incurable and dangerous phobia.

Personally, I intend to avoid New York and New York City for the foreseeable future. Since I am unwelcome, I can only conclude that my money is unwelcome. Cuomo’s statements seem idiotic in light of the fact that New York is advertising for businesses to move to the State because of it’s welcoming nature. (I think Cuomo must have meant only progressive businesses, if there are any.) Finally, it really makes sense for conservatives and, for that matter those who think the Constitution still matters, to move out of New York before the roundup of the undesirables occurs.

To quote Hitler, “Anyone who sees and paints a sky green and fields blue ought to be sterilized.” I’m guessing that is the final solution for conservative New Yorkers.

UNEMPLOYMENT RATE -- TRUE VS. REPORTED UPDATE

We have written before here about false and misleading data being reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics as long ago as March 20 2012 and most recently on January 2, 2014. Like too much government data and general information, employment data continue to be reported misleadingly. For political reasons? It seems most likely.

Today I awoke to news that the unemployment rate has dropped from 7.0% to 6.7%. Good news. Right? Not necessarily, and not in fact as numbers are analyzed and unreported details revealed.

Even though the data covers the holiday hiring period, which should portend an increase in jobs, only 77,000 new jobs were recorded. So why is the unemployment rate down by 0.3%? Participation rate! The number of employable people actually seeking jobs.

The labor participation rate dropped under 63% for the first time in 35 years to 62.8%. If the numbers for those dropping out of the "job market" are computed as unemployed instead of being ignored, unemployment is 11.4%. The ruse of inaccurate reports continues by BLS, CBO, OMB etc. Why? Politics. People should demand better. But, they won't.

OBAMACARE TAX -- 1 OF UP TO 13 TO BE REPORTED

This article  addresses one of thirteen new taxes now reported to be in the ACA (Obamacare). As it turns out, not only did we "have to pass the bill to find out what is in it" a la Pelosi, it now is clear that we must implement and experience the ACA to find the truths. Others of the 13 taxes will be reported here as we confirm them and analyze their effects.

The author, Dr. Robert Warren is a retired DOD executive and now heads a consulting firm doing work in accident investigations, especially rail and ocean going vessels. He is well-respected for his intellectual integrity in analyzing issues and for his capability to write about them meaningfully. objectively and truthfully.

Yet Another Nightmare [of Obamacare]?

By Dr. Robert Warren, PhD

Within the next year, tens of millions of working folk will find themselves involved with the “obamacare exchanges”. So far, more than six million individuals have suffered the loss of their health coverage. But there is an even greater loss about to occur.

When a business is forced to end group coverage, their workers will have no choice but to buy the insurance offered on the “obamacare exchanges” or pay a fine. Now here is where it gets interesting. What happens if their employer decides to pay at least some portion of the new healthcare plan’s cost?

Currently, when an employer buys a group healthcare plan for his workers, the benefit is generally non-taxable to the worker. However, as it now stands, if an employer pays any portion of a worker’s “obamacare” plan, the result will be an increase in taxable income.

For decades, the federal government has been trying to find a way to tax non-taxable health insurance benefits provided by employers. It appears they have found a way. Not only will American workers be hit with the cost of unnecessary and expensive obamacare plans, but it now looks like they will be hit by a massive income tax increase if their employer tries to help defray the plan costs.

The wealth transfer and income redistribution intentions of the federal government will continue in 2014 and for a number of additional years. The working middle class best tighten its belt once more, and maybe punch a new hole in it. And just maybe the people who work for a living or hope to work for a living ought to ask themselves if government should be given more power to spend and regulate.

REAL UNEMPLOYMENT, BENEFITS AND PROPOSAL FOR JOB CREATION

ED's NOTE
I have written in other posts about inaccurate data coming from the Bureau of Labor Statitistics (BLS), Office of Management and the Budget (OMB) and the Congressional Budget Office (CBO). People who know the truth and know how to find it are often appalled at how little interest there is in knowing the truth. They simply accept the data from reporting agencies, much of which is false and deliberately misrepresented.
This post is by Steve Kauffman, an executive, retired from the position as head of the NY Transportation System who is credited with success in reforming that system to financial viability where many aren't. I very much respect his views, consider him a valued friend and look to him for advice in resolving questions and disputes.
Steve's website: stevesworld26.com is worthy of a visit from all readers. I urge it in fact.

THOUGHTS ABOUT REAL UNEMPLOYMENT, BENEFITS AND JOB CREATION
BY STEVE KAUFFMAN

The Shadow Government Statistics website shows the real state of unemployed people in the nation to be around 23%, three times the "official" rate. The BLS does not count anyone who has given up and just dropped out of the labor force. Those folks are probably getting government assistance, running up the national debt, contributing nothing. They may leave the middle class and join the ranks of the impoverished forever.

A recent article says that some Republican in Congress wants to increase unemployment benefits. Why is he not, instead, demanding that steps be taken to create new private sector jobs? Why doesn't someone in a position to influence action do so by proposing plans like "Seven Plans to Create Jobs and Cut Costs" shown on my website: stevesworld26.com?

Seventy percent of our notion's people say the economy is in the tank. What does it take to wake up the
Congress?

If the Republicans focused all their efforts on promoting real plans for creating jobs, cutting unemployment and getting the economy going, the election in November would give them overwhelming majorities in both houses of Congress to override any veto Obama tried to use to thwart their will. He would be history. The Republicans would be in control! But they have to convince the voters they are sincere about focusing on creating good jobs for them.

Why are not all the conservative think tanks getting off their asses, getting their minds in gear and starting to think of ideas and plans like mine? Visit their websites. They are all about asking for money to support THEM. They show no ideas or plans for getting the economy moving again.

The same is true of the politicians. What do they say they will do to create jobs? They claim they want to balance the budget. The way to do that is to create conditions that create private sector jobs. Look at the plans on my website, stevesworld26.com. DO SOMETHING CONSTRUCTIVE. STOP THE THOUGHTLESS YAMMERING! ACT!

David Burnham, my hero and inspiration, said, "Make no little plans - They have no magic to stir men's blood and have not within themselves the power of their own fulfillment. Make big plans; aim high in hope and work, remembering that a noble, logical diagram once recorded will never die, but long after we are gone will be a living thing, asserting itself with ever-growing insistency."

FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS! JOBS, JOBS, JOBS!=
